Parikrama is an Indian rock band formed in Delhi in 1991. The band is known for their unique sound that blends Indian classical music with rock music.
Parikrama’s original lineup consisted of Nitin Malik on vocals, Sonam Sherpa and Chintan Kalra on guitars, Subir Malik on keyboards, Gaurav Balani on bass guitar, and Srijan Mahajan on drums. Over the years, the lineup has changed, with various members joining and leaving the band.
The band has released several albums, including “Xerox,” “But It Rained,” and “Tie-Dye on the Highway.” They are known for their energetic live performances and have performed at numerous music festivals and events around the world, including the Download Festival and the South Asian Bands Festival.
In addition to their music, Parikrama has also been involved in various social and philanthropic causes, such as raising awareness about environmental issues and working with organizations to provide education to underprivileged children. They have won several awards for their music, including the Best Indian Rock Band Award at the Jack Daniel’s Rock Awards.
