Avial
Avial is a Malayalam rock band from Kerala, India. Formed in 2003, the band is known for their unique sound that blends together elements of Indian folk music with rock, reggae, and electronic music.
Avial’s original lineup consisted of Tony John on vocals, Rex Vijayan on guitars, Mithun Puthanveetil on drums, and Binny Isaac on bass guitar. Over the years, the lineup has changed, with various members joining and leaving the band.
The band has released two albums, “Avial” and “Nada Nada,” both of which have received critical acclaim. They are known for their energetic live performances and have performed at numerous music festivals and events around the world, including the NH7 Weekender and the South Asian Bands Festival.
In addition to their music, Avial has also been involved in various social and philanthropic causes, such as working with organizations to provide education to underprivileged children and raising awareness about environmental issues. They have won several awards for their music, including the Best Band Award at the Rolling Stone India Awards.
