Akshay Kumar is an Indian film actor, producer, and martial artist who predominantly works in Bollywood films. He was born on September 9, 1967, in Amritsar, India.

Kumar made his acting debut in Bollywood with the film “Saugandh” in 1991. He went on to appear in several successful Bollywood films, including “Khiladi,” “Hera Pheri,” “Rowdy Rathore,” “Airlift,” and “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.” He has won several awards for his performances, including the National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in “Rustom.”

In addition to his work as an actor, Kumar is also a producer and has produced several films under his banner, Hari Om Entertainment. He is also a trained martial artist and has black belts in Taekwondo and Karate.

Kumar is also involved in several philanthropic activities and supports several causes, including education for underprivileged children and disaster relief efforts.

Kumar is married to author and former actress Twinkle Khanna and the couple has two children together. He continues to be actively involved in the entertainment industry and is regarded as one of the most popular and successful actors in Bollywood.
