Roop Kumar Rathod is a well-known Indian playback singer and music composer. He was born on January 8, 1973, in Mumbai, India.

Roop Kumar Rathod started his music career as a ghazal singer and later moved on to playback singing for Hindi films. He made his debut as a playback singer with the song “Sandese Aate Hai” from the movie “Border” (1997). Some of his other popular songs include “Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai” from the movie “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” (2008), “Maula Mere Maula” from the movie “Anwar” (2007), and “O Saiyyan” from the movie “Agneepath” (2012).

Apart from playback singing, Roop Kumar Rathod has also composed and produced music for various films and television shows. He has also released several albums of non-film music, including ghazals, bhajans, and Sufi music.

Roop Kumar Rathod has received several awards and nominations for his work, including the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer for the song “Sandese Aate Hai” from “Border”. He has also been honored with the Padma Shri Award in 2021, one of the highest civilian awards in India, for his contributions to the field of music.
