Papon, whose real name is Angaraag Mahanta, is a popular Indian singer and composer known for his soulful and melodious renditions. Papon’s musical journey began at a young age, influenced by the rich musical heritage of Assam. He grew up surrounded by traditional Assamese folk music and was trained in Indian classical vocals by his parents, renowned Assamese folk artists Khagen and Archana Mahanta.

Papon rose to fame with his breakthrough song “Jiyein Kyun” from the film “Dum Maaro Dum” in 2011. The song, which showcased his soulful voice and emotional depth, struck a chord with listeners and brought him widespread recognition. Since then, he has delivered numerous hit songs, both in Bollywood and independent music.
